How do you prune a Garry's Mod?

Allow free-standing shrubs to develop un-pruned where there is space, but if pruning is required:

  1. Remove any crossing, rubbing or badly placed shoots, as well as any dead, diseased or damaged ones.
  2. Renovate (if necessary) by cutting back plants gradually over three to four years to a low framework of branches.

How do you propagate Garrya Elliptica?

Garrya are fairly easy to propagate from semi ripe new growth cuttings taken in June or July and put into a heated mist bench. Female forms of G. elliptica do, of course, set seeds but there is only one form to grow if you want these huge catkins every year!
